Can you remove the password if I don't know it?
No. DuneTools is not a 'hacking' or brute force tool. You need to enter the correct password once so the system can decrypt and generate the free version.
Why does it ask for password if PDF opens without one?
That means it has an 'Owner Password' that restricts actions (like printing), even if it allows reading. In that case, the tool will remove it automatically without asking you.
Is it safe to type my password here?
Absolutely YES. Thanks to Local Mode technology, the password is used instantly in your browser memory and destroyed when closing the tab. It never travels over the internet.
Can I unlock bank statements?
Yes, it's the most common use. You can upload your bank statements or payslips, remove the key, and save them to your Google Drive or send them to your accountant without issues.
Does it work with Adobe AES-256 encryption?
Yes, our algorithms support the most modern encryption standards, including RC4 and AES (128 and 256 bits), as long as you have the correct key.
Can I unlock multiple files at once?
Yes, you can upload a batch. If they all have the same password (e.g., same billing month), apply it once and you're done. If different, it will ask for each.
Is the digital signature lost?
When modifying document security, existing digital signatures are usually invalidated because the file 'hash' changes. You will have to re-sign the unlocked document.
Is it reversible? Can I lock it again?
