What image should I upload for best results?

We recommend a square image of at least 512x512 pixels. If it's a logo, make sure it has a transparent background (PNG) so it integrates well with browsers in Dark Mode.

Why do I need a .ico file if I use PNG?

The .ico file is a legacy standard that ensures your icon looks good in odd places, like old Internet Explorer bookmarks or Windows desktop shortcuts, which often ignore PNGs.

How do I install the favicon on my site?

Download the ZIP, unzip it to your website's root via FTP, and copy the HTML code we provide into the tag of your HTML pages.

Is it free for commercial use?

Does it support transparency?
