Why you should care about EXIF.

πŸ•΅οΈ

What do your photos know about you?

A simple photo taken with a smartphone contains: Phone make and model, exact Date and Time, and precise GPS Coordinates (down to your doorstep). If you share this publicly, you are broadcasting your privacy.
πŸ’‘

Your photos are digital fingerprints.

πŸ“ˆ

SEO for Photographers

Google Images reads IPTC metadata. Adding your name in the Copyright and Creator fields helps protect your authorship and improves the indexing of your professional portfolio in search engines.
πŸ’‘

Protect your intellectual property.

πŸ”¬

The Lossless Difference

Many online editors 're-save' the image, causing quality loss (destructive generation). DuneTools uses binary injection: we open the file, change the header text, and close it. Zero alteration of visual pixels.

EXIF FAQ

Quick answers about the tool

How do I see the hidden data in my photos?
Simply drag the image to the top box. Our tool will decode and display a table with all found EXIF, XMP, and IPTC values.
Is it safe for sensitive photos?
Yes, it is the safest method. By not uploading files to any server (Client-Side processing), you eliminate the risk of cloud leaks. Ideal for journalists or private documents.
Can I change the date if my camera was wrong?
Absolutely. You can edit the 'DateTimeOriginal' field. Very useful for chronologically ordering travel photos when you forgot to change the camera's time zone.
Does deleting EXIF lower photo quality?
Not with our tool. We use 'Lossless' editing. Unlike others that re-compress the image, we only cut the text section of the file, leaving the image intact.
What is IPTC and why does it matter?
It is the standard for editorial data. If you are a photographer, this is where you put your Copyright and contact info. It is essential for agencies and Google to know the photo is yours.
Does it work with iPhone photos (HEIC)?
Currently, we fully support JPG and JPEG. For HEIC, we recommend first using our HEIC to JPG tool and then editing the metadata.
Can I process entire folders?
Yes. Upload multiple files at once. You can apply an action (e.g., Delete All) to the entire batch and download a ZIP.
Is it legal to delete metadata?
Yes, it's your information. In fact, deleting metadata (especially GPS) is a recommended cybersecurity practice before sharing images online.
